Fife Daytime Brass is a new initiative formed by FCBA, the parent association for the six established brass bands that operate in Fife.
This exciting new playing venture has been formed to create an inclusive, diverse, and supportive environment for brass or percussion players from across Fife, in particular for:
• elderly or retired players
• 'comeback' players returning after a break from playing
• part-time/home workers who might enjoy some daytime music-making and company
• shift workers for whom evening rehearsals aren't feasible
• anyone who wants to play without the commitment of a contesting band
Fife Daytime Brass will provide a safe space for people to reconnect with their musical skills and enjoy some regular social interaction. The band will not only focus on musical engagement but emphasise the social benefits and camaraderie of regular gatherings, fostering a sense of community and mental well-being.
Our inaugural rehearsal will take place on Monday 25th of November from 1.30pm - 3.30pm in Kingdom Band Hall - Cocklaw St, Kelty KY4 0DD
